With a stacked roster, the Green Archers were a fun team to watch on offense in the last two seasons.
Taking advantage of the absence of FEU’s Prince Orizu, the De La Salle University Green Archers flexed their muscle inside the paint – on both offense and defense – to get back at their first round tormentors, 65-57, Saturday, October 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Though La Salle is just a game above .500 (5-4), they currently have sole possession of 3rd place in the standings.
Playing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum floor for the first time this Season 81, the Green Archers didn’t quite feel at home at the Big Dome, dropping a 50-57 decision against the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
Looking to extend their winning run to three, the Green Archers shall do battle once again with Adamson, the team they beat just a week ago in a come-from-behind-fashion.
This season, the players that are consistently carrying much of the scoring load for the Green Archers are Aljun Melecio and Justine Baltazar.
I told my good friend before the start of the game, that we should use Encho Serrano extensively in this game.
