If you have been following the DLSU Women’s Volleyball team for a long time, you would agree that this season is something we are not used to see.
While this isn’t the worst case scenario for the three-time defending champions, their path to a historic four-peat got just a little harder; the road to Season 81’s finals, a little bit longer.
La Salle made quick work of UE 25-17, 25-16, 25-19 earlier today to put themselves a win – against FEU – away from securing the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
While our players don’t figure prominently in the individual stats areas, our team is actually solid in all areas.
The last few moments may have been tense and anxious ones for everyone in the Green and White gallery but the DLSU Lady Spikers dug deep and even won the breaks of the game to register a season sweep of Ateneo, 25-17, 25-13, 25-23, Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The first (and last) time that I wrote this type of column was to recap the first seven games of DLSU’s UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament.
In what could be La Salle’s shortest game in terms of total match time in UAAP Season 81, the Lady Spikers only needed 70 minutes to hand the Adamson Lady Falcons a 25-15, 25-18, 25-16 beating, Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
