La Salle fails to complete resurgence, suffers third loss at FEU’s hands

The De La Salle University Lady Archers fell agonizingly short once again in their quest to mark their UAAP Season 82 Women’s Basketball Tournament with a comeback win.

Wanting to win back-to-back games for the first time in their campaign, the Lady Archers instead experienced a 66-67 defeat by the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, Wednesday morning at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila.

The result leaves the Lady Archers with a win-loss record of 2-3.

Down by as much as 10 points with six minutes left in the contest, rookie Kent Pastrana ignited a run to cut FEU’s lead to just a point. However, with only seconds left on the clock, rookie Bea Dalisay released a Hail Mary three to win the game, only for the ball not to sink in.

In the end, the Green and White were left to lament another roadblock into what has been a helter skelter season so far.

Pastrana led the Lady Archers with 18 points alongside eight rebounds followed by third-year player Bernice Paraiso’s 13 markers and six boards.

Captain Bennette Revillosa had 11 baskets and eight rebounds.

La Salle hopes to bounce back once again and get its third win of the season when it takes on Adamson University on September 21, 2019, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
