The De La Salle Green Archers defeated the University of the East Red Warriors 78-66 yesterday evening to notch their 2nd win in the Araw ng Davao Collegiate Basketball Tournament.

Unlike their previous game against University of Cebu, the team started well as they lead 17-11 after the opening period. Up 39-29 entering the second half, La Salle blew the game wide open as the margin increased to 20 points.

The Red Warriors managed to cut the lead down to 10 at the halfway mark of the final quarter but the Green Archers sealed the win with timely baskets and making the right stops in the end.

Encho Serrano led the way with 14 points.

La Salle shall face the Lyceum Pirates today at 5pm. Regardless of the result, both teams shall battle it out again tomorrow for the championship after securing the top two positions in the standings.
