The Green Archers sailed past Nagoya Gakuin University 95-68 today for their 2nd win in as many games in the 2018 BLIA Cup.

Justine Baltazar continues his breakout year with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds while Mark Dyke and Taane Samuel each chipped in 14.

Unlike their game yesterday, La Salle started strong as they took an early 8-1 lead. Up by 7 entering the second period, the team saw their lead slowly dwindle by Nagoya’s barrage of threes. Now trailing by 4, the Archers regrouped to finish the first half strong to once again take the lead at 49-44.

With their defense in high gear, La Salle broke the game wide open in the third. Pounding it inside the paint, they outscored their opponent 46 to 24 in the second half.

The Green Archers will next face Chien Hsin University of Science & Technology tomorrow at 2pm as they look to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
