The Green Archers bowed out of the FilOil tournament yesterday after dropping their semis match against FEU 69-76.

Andrei Caracut paced La Salle with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Aljun Melecio and Justine Baltazar followed with 14 points each. Aside from Kib Montalbo, the team played without Santi Santillan who was nursing an injury sustained in another preseason match this week.

After trailing for most of the game, the Green Archers went on a 13-2 run to start the fourth period to take 59-54 lead. But the Tamaraws quickly recovered to regain control behind Hubert Cani, who scored 10 in the final stretch including two difficult step-back baskets to shut down any hopes for La Salle to advance to the semifinals.

The team wraps up their campaign with 7-3 overall record. This also ends their 4-year streak of making it to the championship round.

In the Milcu Summer Tournament, the Green Archers lost to Letran 60-62 in their semis encounter last Tuesday. This came a day after beating UP 73-69 to end the elimination round with a 6-3 slate.

The team fields in a mixed roster mainly composing of players in Team B, new recruits and those undergoing residency. Team A regulars make occasional appearances.
