The Green Archers opened the Philippine Collegiate Champions League Finals on a sour note after dropping the opening game against the San Beda Red Lions, 81-88, on Thursday night at the Ynares Center.

Ben Mbala punched in a game-high 26 points and 14 rebounds while Kib Montalbo followed up with 13 points and 5 assists for La Salle. In addition, Prince had 10 points and 7 rebounds while Jeron Teng had 9 points and 6 boards.

On the other hand, Ola Adeogun chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds while Baser Amer had 19 points and 7 assists for San Beda.

Game two will of the PCCL Finals will be this Monday, 4:00 pm, at the Ynares Center.
